The Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) mobile app helps the passengers and their companions during their journey through YQB. The app provides relevant informations to users based on their progress and location in the terminal. For example, the user can track flights in real time, reserve a parking space and view waiting time at the security checkpoint.
I was hired to do a UX review of this app and help with the usability of the different processes, which used beacons to locate the user inside Quebec’s airport.
One highlight of my work was the suggestions for notifications and alerts, which helped to keep the user informed while navigating. Because it was a partnership with Cossete, I had other suggestions to improve the “adding flights” feature and general navigation which were not implemented yet.
This app won a boomerang prize for Services in 2018.
